Module Feedback Tool

We would like to ask you a few questions about your experience with social justice and engineering!

We have both a pre and post survey. The Pre-survey is for an individual to complete before they have started their first module on our site. The Post-Survey is for an individual to take after completion of a module on the site. The individual does not  need to complete a pre-survey in order to do the post survey.

We have two different survey options below for you to help us make this website better as we grow and to expand our knowledge on how engineers interact with social justice concepts. The surveys in the two options are almost identical; however, the second option allows for a research team to use the data in a formal research project.

Option 1: General preconceptions pre-survey and feedback post-survey giving us some information about your experience using the modules. Each will take roughly 5-10 minutes to complete. Data will only be used only by the SJ-ED team to improve the experience on our website.

Option 2: Be a part of data collection for a research project conducted by a group of researchers from the University of Virginia. See recruitment letter below:

Recruitment Letter

Understanding what is important about engineering for those in engineering and engineering adjacent fields is needed to ensure the field meets the needs of those in it. Accordingly, we are recruiting individuals: in an engineering program, with an engineering background, or currently working with engineers to participate in an online survey. The survey will ask you questions on how you think about your work or education. The survey will take 10-15 mins of your time. If interested in taking the survey, please follow this link. If you have any questions about the survey, before or after you take it, please contact Patrick Hancock, a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Virginia. You will find his detailed contact information at the end of this letter. If you do reach out, be sure to reference IRB SBS #4622 in your correspondence.
